Members of a local Welsh choir brought some much-needed cheer to the Borough on Friday evening when they gathered to sing outside a local pub.

Members of Cor Y Boro gathered in St Thomas Street – opposite The Bunch of Grapes pub – to sing a selection of English and Welsh songs and hymns including Guide me O thou great Jehovah, Jerusalem and Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner.
The Borough Welsh Choir – which rehearses at the Welsh Chapel on Southwark Bridge Road
– was revived last year and competed at the National Eisteddfod in Abergavenny.
The original Borough Welsh Choir won the National Eisteddfod in Liverpool in 1929.
