Westminster Bridge Road & Lambeth Road bus lanes to operate daily
Bus lanes in Westminster Bridge Road and Lambeth Road will now operate 7 days a week as part of an initiative to improve bus reliability and cycle safety.
The bus lanes had previously only been in operation from Monday to Saturday.
Lambeth Council has made an 'experimental traffic order' introducing the changes to "improve the reliability of bus services and improve journey times and to improve safety for pedal cyclists".
The order comes into effect on Monday 6 November but signs indicating that the bus lanes operate on Sundays have already been installed.
Bus lanes in Lambeth Road and Westminster Bridge Road (for the sections within the borough of Lambeth) will now be in operation 7am to 7pm daily.
