The best in the area
I went for a beer on Sunday with a German friend and we both enjoyed the quality of the drinks and the decor!
I decided to try their food last night and I was not disappointed. Their huge burger with avocado and chorizo is amongst the best I have ever eaten. My friend had the fish and chips and she loved it. The beer is very good. The service upstairs is excellent. We shared a dessert, caramelised pineapple cake with ginger ice cream. We both enjoyed the buttery taste contrasting with the taste of ginger! Last Sunday, I went to the King's arms after having read the reviews but I am afraid to say the latter is a pale contender to Dean Swift.
One of the best pubs in the area
What an eclectic mix! I live on the south side of Tooley st,not in yuppiville. But I can only congratulate this boozer for it's friendly, mainly aussie, bar staff.Matt seems to work day in day out.The odd english barmaids remain just that.
I don't know of a pub in the area that could make you more welcome,or customers who don't give a damn about who you are,as long as you dont worry about what they get up to in life!
Same name

Just discovered my name dean swift, is the same name as the bar.
Visit london twice a year, and will definitely come in and have a drink next time my wife and i see a west end show.
