Doon Street Tower decision could be challenged in High Court

English Heritage says that it is "appalled" by the "incomprehensible" decision of communities secretary Hazel Blears to approve the 43-storey Doon Street Tower on the South Bank.

David Idowu: funeral for murdered Tabard Gardens teenager

The funeral of 14-year-old David Idowu, fatally wounded on the Tabard Gardens Estate in June, was held on Wednesday at the church of St George the Martyr in Borough High Street.

Blears approves 43-storey tower at Doon Street on South Bank

The controversial Doon Street Tower on the South Bank has been given the green light by communities secretary Hazel Blears, even though a planning inspector recommended refusal of the application.
