Police were called soon after 3am on Sunday 16 September to reports of shots fired near Tesco in the Old Kent Road.
Officers and and ambulance crews attended and a 20-year-old male was taken to a south London hospital for treatment to a gunshot wound to the foot.
The victim was arrested in connection with the inquiry after he was discharged from hospital and remains in custody.
