135 metres above the South Bank, 17-year-old Amelia Hempleman-Adams lifted the Olympic flame onto the top of a London Eye capsule early on Sunday morning.
Ms Hempleman-Adams last year became the youngest person to ski to the South Pole.
The Olympic Torch Relay comes to SE1 on Thursday morning before the flame makes its final journey through London on the Thames on Friday morning.
• On Sunday morning the Endurancelife Real Relay, a continuous running relay visiting all the towns on the official relay route, also mades its way along the South Bank.
