If you take a stroll through Southwark Cathedral's churchyard during the Olympic Games you may find yourself lured into a giant box. But what will you find inside?

The Gift Box project is run by UN.GIFT (United Nations Global Initiative to Fight Human Trafficking) and Stop the Traffik to raise awareness of human trafficking and inspire visitors gathered in London for the Olympics to take action to stop this human rights abuse.

Gift Boxes entice people inside by luring them with promises of wealth and success. Once inside, the truth will be revealed.

“It is important that we support this project and highlight the consequences of this terrible crime," said the Very Revd Andrew Nunn, Dean of Southwark.

“As people visit the UK at this time the Gift Box in our churchyard will urge us all to become aware and take action to stop this outrage and the way in which lives are destroyed by it.”

Stop the Traffik was set up by Steve Chalke, founder of the Waterloo-based Oasis network of charities and UN.GIFT special advisor on community action against human trafficking.
