A new Sainsbury's Local convenience store has opened at Friars House in Blackfriars Road.
The Sainsbury's Local store is situated on the ground floor of Friars House, a recently refurbished office block near the junction of Blackfriars Road and Pocock Street.
The new shop has chosen the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign, based in Great Suffolk Street, as its charity partner.
Sainsbury's has installed a cash machine which is the only ATM on the southern half of Blackfriars Road.
The Practical Law Company will soon move into the offices above the supermarket.
A Pret a Manger sandwich shop will open next to Sainsbury's in the coming days.
The new store is situated just 250 metres from the Sainsbury's Local branch which opened last year in The Cut.
Another branch will open soon 400 metres away in Great Suffolk Street.
