The long-awaited new leisure centre and swimming pool at Elephant & Castle will open its doors to the public on Saturday 30 April, Southwark Council has announced.
The Castle will be open from 7am on Saturday 30 April, with an official family fun open weekend set for 21 and 22 May.
The centre includes a 25 metre six-lane swimming pool, learner pool with moveable floor, sauna and steam rooms, a sports hall, gym and spinning studio, two exercise studios plus a creche and cafe.
Cllr Barrie Hargrove, cabinet member for public health, parks and leisure, said: "I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been working so hard to get the Castle Centre open, despite its building stage delays.
"I have seen a fantastic turn-around over the last few weeks as we get the centre ready for the public and I'm looking forward to finally getting the doors open on 30 April, so everyone can try out the facilities for themselves."
From the end of July the Castle will offer free swimming and gym access to Southwark residents on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
