Man arrested after theft of defibrillator from ambulance crew

A man has been arrested after a piece of vital life-saving equipment was stolen from an ambulance service crew in Bermondsey.

Southwark Police tweeted: "We were called by a London Ambulance unit this morning following the theft of one of their defibrillators after a call to SE1.

"An eagle-eyed informant called us later to a male in a park with the defib.

"Recovered and male arrested for theft."
