Children from Johanna Primary School in Waterloo have met some live creatures at Oxo Tower Wharf.
The year six class, visiting the.gallery@oxo to see Roger Hooper's Exposed: Endangered Wildlife photographic exhibition, enjoyed a morning spent seeing and touching spiders, lizards and snakes.
There was noisy excitement as Alice Purdy from the Tropical Forest at Syon Park produced a scorpion and called for volunteers to let their hand be a platform for others to view the creature.
Also present was Tropical Forest founder Tony Purdy who helped to drape the snakes around the necks of several keen volunteers.
