The streets of Waterloo were filled with superheroes on Friday lunchtime as the Waterloo Carnival made its way from Lower Marsh to Waterloo Millennium Green.
Participants in the carnival included pupils from Johanna Primary, Oasis Academy Waterloo, Coin Street nursery, St Patrick's Nursery and older people from Blackfriars Settlement. Mandinga Arts and the London School of Samba also played a prominent part.
As the procession arrived at Waterloo Millennium Green Vauxhall MP Kate Hoey was on hand to thank everyone who took part and to present the prizes for the create-a-superhero competition run by the carnival organisers. `
