A trader at the Elephant & Castle market has been sentenced to a six month community order with 50 hours of unpaid work after pleading guilty to selling counterfeit mobile phone accessories.
25-year-old Abdullah Achakzai pleaded guilty to the charges relating to sales made at his stall in April 2013.
At a hearing at the Inner London Crown Court this month he was sentenced to a six-month community order with 50 hours of unpaid work plus a £60 victim surcharge.
According to Southwark's trading standards department, some 300 fake mobile phone covers and accessories were forfeitured for destruction.
