53 bus route curtailed south of the river due to roadworks

Due to roadworks in Parliament Square, buses on the 53 will display 'Lambeth North' on their destination blinds and carry passengers no further north than the Crown & Cushion pub in Westminster Bridge Road.

The temporary curtailment of the 53 applies between 6am and midnight; overnight buses will continue to run the full length of the route.

Notices posted at bus stops say that the change to the service will apply 'until further notice'.
