Bus route 53 - which has been curtailed at Lambeth North for the past 18 months - will be reinstated to run across Westminster Bridge to Whitehall from 23 July.
The curtailment of bus route 53 short of its usual Whitehall terminus – introduced in January 2015 as a six-week measure – was extended indefinitely whilst roadworks in Parliament Square were under way.
During the daytime and evening, buses on the Charlton to Whitehall route have been terminating south of the river at Lambeth North.
Now Transport for London has quietly announced that the bus service will return to its full route with effect from Saturday 23 July.
