Tower Bridge Primary School has been rated 'good' by Ofsted, two years after a critical report by inspectors from the education watchdog.
Ofsted inspectors visited Tower Bridge Primary School at the end of January and their report has just been published.
Since the 2013 inspection report – which delivered a "requires improvement" rating – the school has formed a federation with nearby Snowsfields Primary School and the two schools share an executive headteacher, Kate Wooder, and a single governing body.
In their report, the inspectors wrote that "the headteacher has brought together a strong team of leaders all of whom share her high aspirations for the school and the pupil" and that "the quality of teaching has improved greatly since the last inspection" with "pupils making consistently good progress across the school".
Ofsted also highlighted the "outstanding" behaviour of pupils.
