South Bank to gain new Post Office
A convenience store on the South Bank is to offer Post Office services from October.
Post Office services will be available at Market Express from 1pm on Monday 14 October.
"The service will be one of our local style branches with a low-screened, open-plan Post Office service point carefully integrated into the retail counter," said change manager Samantha Coe in a letter to local public officials.
"Customers will be able to carry out a wide range of Post Office transactions alongside retail purchases."
The Market Express store is located on the ground floor of the Iroko Housing Cooperative developed by Coin Street Community Builders at the corner of Upper Ground and Cornwall Road.
Post Office services will be available seven days a week from 7.30am to 9pm.
SE1 has gained several similar Post Offices integrated into convenience stores, notably in Harper Road and Tanner Street.
