Cllr Anood Al-Samerai

Representing Riverside ward in the London Borough of Southwark

Anood Al-Samerai was elected a councillor for Riverside ward in December 2007.

Anood ran the constituency office of Simon Hughes MP.

She chaired Bermondsey Community Council between 2009 and 2010.

At the 2010 general election she was the Lib Dem parliamentary candidate in Ilford South.

In May 2010 she was elected as leader of Southwark's Liberal Democrat group.
