The eastern pavement on Blackfriars Bridge has reopened to pedestrians after a three-year closure during the rebuilding of Blackfriars Railway Station.
The pavement was blocked off in June 2009 and had been due to reopen by the end of 2011.
Six months later than first planned, the pedestrian route is now open once again.
During the past couple of weeks the last of the temporary walkways linking the road bridge and the rail bridge have been removed as the new cross-river railway station nears completion.
