Bankside Pier to be extended to enable more tourist boats to call
Southwark planning officers have approved plans by Transport for London to build a 20-metre extension to Bankside Pier.
According to the planning officer's report, an extra four tourist boats an hour are expected to serve the pier from Easter 2016.
Transport for London recently indicated that it is also examining options for expanding Festival Pier on the South Bank.
