The Garden Bridge Trust has published a new image showing how the controversial new pedestrian bridge between the South Bank and Temple might look in the winter months.
"Winter can be a beautiful time and we aim to make a stroll on the Garden Bridge a wonderful experience," said landscape designer Dan Pearson.
"The idea behind creating this garden is to create a space that will be interesting every day of the year.
"We hope to inspire people of all ages to take an interest in horticulture. Winter is a time for nourishment and renewal in British gardens and we have balanced this concept with plants that will bring vibrant colour and life to the garden.
"I look forward to seeing the plans come to fruition."
The Garden Bridge Trust is currently distributing a newsletter to local residents which confirms that £145 million of the £175 million cost of the bridge has now been raised.
The public purse is contributing £40 million to the project as well as a £20 million 50-year loan from Transport for London.
