Climate change campaigners block traffic near Tate Modern
Climate change activists blocked traffic on Southwark Street and Southwark Bridge Road on Sunday with the aim of disrupting London Fashion Week events at Tate Modern.
In a statement, Extinction Rebellion said that they were "calling on the fashion industry to use its influence as a cultural institution to tell the truth about the climate and ecological emergency".
Last November Extinction Rebellion blocked five Thames bridges as part of their civil disobedience campaign. They also staged several protests at the Elephant & Castle junction.
