Art projects at Spa School in Monnow Road and St Saviour's and St Olave's School in New Kent Road both won prizes in the Young At Art awards programme run by the University of the Arts London.

Spa School was chosen for its project called The Great Chase, in which ten students were set a brief to make a film about animals. The team led by teacher Peter Mant won £500 in the open category.

The Time and Identity project at St Saviour's and St Olave's School won £200, also in the open category. GCSE Art and Design pupils worked with artist and musician Twinkle Troughton under the leadership of head of art Sue Mulholland.

The eleven winning projects from around London are on show at the Arts Gallery, 65 Davies Street W1, until Friday 18 May. The gallery is open Monday-Friday 10am-8pm and admission is free.
