A Bermondsey secondary school for teenagers with Autism or Asperger's Syndrome has been rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted.
The school in Monnow Road has 100 pupils aged 11 to 19.
Inspectors visited the school in December and gave it the highest possible rating. At the previous inspection three years ago the school had been rated 'good'.
The latest report describes the school as "an oasis of calm in a busy world, enabling pupils to remain relaxed and focused on their learning".
Inspectors also praised as "exemplary" the School House Cafe which is staffed by pupils and open to the public every day.
The report found that the cafe "provides learners with opportunities to interact with the public, use money, meet the needs of customers and practise their catering skills".
