Southwark Crown Court is one of three crown courts in SE1, along with Inner London Crown Court and Blackfriars Crown Court.

Opened in 1983, the yellow-brick building by the Thames contains 15 courtrooms, making it the fourth largest court centre in the country.

Southwark Crown Court is a designated serious fraud centre.

The senior judge has the title Recorder of Westminster as this crown court now handles cases previously heard at Middlesex Guildhall Crown Court in Parliament Square.
